Nikita - Home berth Brixham (can also be available in Dartmouth)

The sailing yacht “Nikita” is a Dufour 41 Classic, a beautiful Bermudan Sloop sailing yacht, normally berthed in Brixham Marina but easily available in Darthaven Marina, Kingswear, if required.

She is 41 feet long (12.5m), with three double sleeping cabins, two heads (toilet/shower rooms) one of which is en-suite to the forward cabin. There is a large saloon with a dining table which comfortably seats 6 people, and a fully equipped galley. The large cockpit also has an all-over winter cover creating extra space.

She has heating, hot & cold water, fridge, TV/DVD/CD/radio, and plenty of storage cupboards and wardrobe space. Being of a slightly more traditional design with much high quality woodwork, she exudes a delightful sense of warmth and comfort.

Nikita is based in Brixham Marina, which is a full-service marina on the edge of this charming traditional fishing port on the south side of Torbay. The marina has excellent facilities including shower suites, laundry, wi-fi, water & electricity to all berths, and easy car parking.

Within a very short, level walk from the marina there are restaurants, pubs and nautical shops, and a five minute walk takes you to Brixham’s pretty inner harbour and town centre where there are many attractions, shops and plenty of good hostelries.

Almost alongside the marina is Breakwater Beach which usually has good safe bathing, rockpools and a café/bistro. There is a free open-air seawater swimming pool nearby (summer only!) and lots of lovely walks – out along the ¾ mile breakwater, or either way on the SW coast path – one way via Berry Head with its Napoleonic forts and spectacular views, the other way round the harbour to some lovely coves and on to Goodrington for the more energetic.

For those wishing to go further afield, there is an excellent bus service to Paignton and Torquay (every 10-15mins), or a half-hourly service to Kingswear for the ferry to Dartmouth. Details of all the attractions in the area can be obtained from the marina office or the Tourist Information Centre on Brixham harbourside.
